Marie here - I love geocaching. It's like a giant treasure hunt.
When I signed up for this class, I wondered how it could possibly fit in with my teaching area (music), but the presenters showed us just one application, and my imagination jumped to all kinds of assignments. Add up the number of beats in a series of notes, getting more complex with each grade level, and the answer becomes the new coordinates. Or find different caches on the playground that have short melodic bits. Find them all and arrange them back in class to create a song. If music can use geocaching, anyone can.
